    About This Event

TA 101 is for anyone who wants to immerse themselves in personal exploration and find language to describe their inner world. It is particularly useful for those who work with people deeply – engaging their motivation, helping them grow or influencing them. A highly interactive, enjoyable and profound 2-day introduction to the core ideas in Transactional Analysis. May bring you many ‘lightbulb’ moments where you suddenly realise what needs to change in your life.

    What is Transactional Analysis?

Transactional Analysis was created by Eric Berne in the 1960s, to educate individuals in the simplest, clearest language possible what was going on inside of them and why they were interacting with others the way they did, what unhealthy repeating patterns they got into and what they could do to change.

The purpose was to allow masses to safeguard their mental health, achieve a sense of well-being and live up to their potential. It helps people answer questions such as

“How did I become who I am?”

“Why do I sometimes act in ways that hurt me?”

“What is my formula to survive in this world, and is it working for me?”

What is covered in this 2 day TA 101 workshop?

TA 101 is an internationally recognized 2-day introductory course in Transactional Analysis. The course provides an introduction to the main theoretical ideas of Transactional Analysis, which is a theory of personality, and a systematic approach for the growth of individuals and organisations.

This program will introduce you to the core ideas in Transactional Analysis, that include

The ego state model and the structure of our personality

Transactions and ways in which we relate to others

Psychological hungers and how we fulfil them

Life scripts and why we need them

Psychological “games” we play and how they serve us, even though painful

Participants will be awarded a TA 101 participation certificate from ITAA (International Transactional Analysis Association). This certificate is a pre-requisite for those who wish to go on to study TA at an advanced level and is recognised the world over.

Teaching Methodology: The course employs an engaging mix of lectures, discussions, group activities, role-playing, and case studies to make the concepts relatable and applicable. The format of the workshop involves theoretical input on the major concepts of TA. Participants are invited to use the theory presented to reflect on their own processes.
