About This Event
Ankura is a play that explores same-sex relationships, bodily autonomy, and the moral boundaries of family. Preethi and Catherine are partners in love. When it is discovered that Preethi is unable to conceive biologically, the family proposes using Preethi’s brother Pancham as a sperm donor in order to continue the family lineage. This decision questions the boundaries of relationships, the meaning of blood ties, and the very idea of “morality.” The play examines the conflict between science, society, and human emotions.
