Some marriages don't end. They erode, from one dismissed sentence, one skipped conversation, one "we'll talk later" at a time.

It's past midnight, just back from a party at his boss's house, and something in Minu has cracked. Not loudly as she doesn't shout, and that's what makes it worse. Tonight Sumith introduced her to a room of strangers as someone who "doesn't really work." She smiled through it. She's been smiling through versions of it for years, quietly running the math on what to say and until the math runs out, and an envelope she's been sitting on for three months finally lands on the table between them.

Dead on Arrival moves between this one unbearable night and the eight years that built it: a nervous first date over filter coffee and the erosion of a relationship that was built over 8 years, what will happen to it and how it will it conclude? It's a play about the gap between loving someone and actually knowing them and what's left to say once one person finally stops absorbing it.
