HER NAME IS JOY

Set against lush fields of mustard, Her Name Is Joy brings two very different groups of teenagers into the same landscape: young people enjoying an ordinary summer of friendship and games, and children trafficked into agricultural labour. When Kelly, from the privileged side of the farm, crosses into the workers` world and meets Joy, an awkward meeting between two strangers grows into a connection that challenges everything Kelly thought they knew about the world. As the boundaries between the two groups break down, the play asks what happens when we can no longer remain comfortably unaware of another person`s suffering.
