Project Panchatantra

Project Panchatantra is a theatrical exploration where the ancient fables of the Panchatantra meet the urgencies of the contemporary world. Bringing together more than fifteen stories, the production moves beyond retelling individual tales to explore storytelling as a process of transformation, connection and meaning-making.

Conceived as an ongoing experiment in performance-making, the work foregrounds the act of creation. Actors shift between characters, materials are transformed, and scenes flow into one another. Rejecting a linear narrative, the production unfolds through a dynamic tapestry of images, movement, gestures and encounters, inviting audiences to discover connections across seemingly disparate stories.

Playful, provocative and political, Project Panchatantra revisits familiar animal fables to reflect on questions of power, survival, community and human behaviour. As animals speak and humans listen, the production offers a new perspective on the stories we inherit, and the realities we inhabit.
