Rebel Ranis is a powerful dance - theatre musical by the Keelaka Dance Company, inspired by the writing of Eve Ensler. Blending the intensity of Bharatanatyam, contemporary dance, theatre, and live Tamil jazz music, the performance unfolds as a series of raw, embodied confessions told through movement, memory, and music.

Across time, four legendary women step forward to reclaim their voices - Kaikeyi, Draupadi, Karaikal Ammaiyar, and Sita. From the haunting pages of the Adbhuta Ramayana, Sita rises as an elemental force, while the others confront power, violence, beauty, and freedom in ways that feel startlingly contemporary.

Bold, visceral, and unapologetic, Rebel Ranis reimagines scripture as rebellion - where ancient heroines return to speak urgently to our present moment.
