Over the last 16 years Tuesdays with the Bard at Urban Solace poets have wrung tears of joy, nods of recognition, fleeting smiles, happy applause, wistful memories and several unforgettable poems.

ABOUT THE FEATURED POET

Sharmila Rao holds a Masters degree in English Language and Literature from Kings College, University of London, and a BA Hons from Lady Shri Ram College, University of Delhi. She has worked in a variety of fields in London, Singapore, New Delhi, Hyderabad and Bangalore. She has taught English to the privileged and the underprivileged. She founded Kingsworth English Skills Academy in the belief that excellent language skills can help, influence, inspire

and raise inspirations. Chimes and Charms is her first collection.

Synopsis

In the glimpses between the eternal and the everyday, between ritual and rapture, these poems invite the reader to find in lifes simplest moments, a lasting sense of peace. Written in traditional form that honours the craft of verse, the poems move through reflections and illusions both public and intimate ash rubbed on doorways, laughter of a child, the

solace of a moonlit night. These poems are about our beliefs and what we believe
